Star Media Tanzania has launched a new office at Mbagala-Zakheim in a bid to help customers in the area to easily access its services and reduce cost of having to travel a long way.
The StarTimes Sales Manager, Mr Juma Sharobaro said in Dar es Salaam that the company intends to see all its customers are obtaining services without facing any kind of challenges.
“While establishing the new branch we considered factors such the financial position of the people residing in the area, therefore the new office will help them from having to incur unnecessary traveling costs,” said Mr Sharobaro. In a separate incident, the Sales Manager issued a 24- inch digital television set to Mahmoud Hassan a resident of Chamazi for winning a competition dubbed as ‘Shinda TV na StarTimes’.
Speaking after the handing over of the digital television Hassan said he was happy for emerging as a winner of the competition. He encouraged other people to participate because the competition was real and does not involve any form of sabotage.
“I got back home on that very Wednesday intending to watch another program on TV1 at 8pm when I heard them advertising about the next program which was the competition,” said Hassan. He stuck to the television waited for the competition at 8. 30pm but it had to go 15 minutes late due to technical problems.
“I called and answered both questions correctly and I was told to come and collect my set today,” he explained. Mr Sharobaro on his part encouraged more people to participate on the last day of the competition which is scheduled for January 11, this year.
“Five sets are up for grabs for those who will get all the questions correctly,” he noted.
